So it seems like I made good on the idea presented in my last update. I’ve booked a seat on a north-bound train and will be in Seattle tomorrow afternoon! Never been to Seattle before and I’m pretty excited. Going to check out the WordPress Meetup to meet some developers as well as get the latest news on next month’s WordCamp.

This is all well and good and then I realized …

I don’t know where I’m going!

So, I you have a kind heart and knowledge of the Seattle WordPress Meetup, please do me a solid and let me know which door to enter …

Door #1

Door #2

Door #3

Door #4

None of the Above???

If my Google magic has failed me, please let me know!!! Otherwise, my fate will then solely rest on me wandering aimlessly through the neighborhood knocking on every door until I find the right one.

As a side note: After looking at the last image I was wondering if all stop signs in Seattle are upside down?!?!? If so, I’m excited to observe your traffic patterns :)

It’s official! My proposal has been accepted for WordCamp Portland this year. The presentation is titled New and Exciting Ways to Organize your WordPress-Powered Website and focuses on using custom taxonomies to provide a better experience for your visitors. My goal is to create a presentation that will be instructive and entertaining to WordPress users of all skill levels

But I can’t do it alone… No, I need your help!

What I’m looking for is examples of live sites that are using custom taxonomies to organize their content in useful and/or extraordinary ways. I have a meager list compiled and I’ve worked on a few other projects involving custom taxonomies in the months since I made the list. But it’s hard to just come across sites that make use of this hidden feature. So, I turn to you for assistance. Have you harnessed the power of taxonomy on your latest WordPress project? If so, please leave a comment below or contact me directly.

Thanks for reading!
-Mike
