Just switched out my theme again! Working on a new theme called Nighthawk. I was originally going to make Ghostbird 2 but, when all was said and done, I decided to make a different theme all together. Wish me luck!

I like your new theme Michael, another great name! You’re going to have a whole aviary of themes soon, don’t forget to give them some sweet icons :)
The subscribe without commenting feature is a nice touch, I haven’t seen that before is it a plugin or something built into your theme?
Thanks Josh! I actually didn’t start coding it until I came up with the name :) Icons are probably something to look at after a while. The subscribe without commenting is actually a feature of the Subscribe to Comments plugin. It’s not activated by default though. I coded the theme to recognize the plugin and print it if it is installed.
That’s a good idea, I always have a hard time naming things after they are finished.
Cool, I didn’t know Subscribe to Comments could do that. I’m going to have to try it out, I like how you’ve integrated it.
I dig the new theme. And the bottom navigation is pretty cool actually.
When will this be ready? It looks crisp, I want it for my new calendar site. Keep up the good work!
Very nice and clean theme Michael!! I love the simplicity behind it and the color tones just make sense, not to mentioned the citations, wow. Good luck and if you need beta testers, I’m in. I’m kind off a theme addict, cheers,
JL
Very cool Michael, very cool. So I’m now on Nighthawk but the question still remains, how do you do echo the Link post formats. Thanks
JL
Ok, I got it thanks. Suggestion. Perhaps you can consider using the custom field linked_list_url which was used by Jonathan Penn(git hub) for his Linked List Url Plugin, no longer developed but continued by the Daring Fireball Plugin here http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/daring-fireball-linked-list/. The will make the Post Title echo out to the link once its included in the markup in the correct places but more importantly will let the user determine how the RSS links are handled, if a glyph is echoed before its titles, permalink for the rss post, etc.
Also perhaps you can use the link symbol to echo the post permalink and let the post title echo out on this specific post format. Anyway, its just an idea because apart from the CSS being outputted its a regular post and not too “post formatty” and I mean this in a very positive and constructive way. Glad to be testing Nighthawk, I was playing with Ghostbird but I really wanted Nighthawk before I your comment lol. Cheers.
JL.
